“All the soldiers cry on my shoulders”
theAngelcy is a happy and moving, song driven, lyrical, natural andmostly acoustic attempt of making contact.
It’s a case of a songster creating a strong connection with (and via)a band. It’s an attempt to make contact with Israelis as well as withthe ‘outer world’, to communicate the themes and emotions of being ayoung adult in a crazy country in a crazy world.
And it seems to appeal. Big venues and festival stages packed withchanting fans, surprise radio hits taken straight out of an unreleaseddemo, Youtube counters going through the roof and first few (stillsmall) successful moments abroad tell the story. This is already beingacknowledged by industry and media, both domestic and abroad.
The band is deep at work on their debut album, to be released thiscoming spring.
