FYF Fest – L.A
Sean Carlson tells:
“I started the festival the same reason why (most) would start a band, out of boredom and I wanted to do something productive for the scene in Los Angeles.
That first year festival was a free and consisted of local bands, comedians and artists. I was eighteen and got in over my head but in the end it all worked out and 2,000 people showed up (not all the bands played but that’s another story).
Over the past nine years the festival has slowly grown. In 2013 there were over 30,000 in attendance each day at FYF. My Bloody Valentine and Yeah Yeah Yeah’s headlined and some of the other bands that performed were TV on the Radio, Beach House, MGMT, Death Grips, Omar Souleyman, Solange and thee Oh Sees. It was fun.”
