Jazzkaar Festival was founded in 1990 and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. Today Jazzkaar is the biggest jazz festival in Baltic States, running several jazz festivals and seasonal programs with about 100 events and nearly 30,000 visitors per year. In addition Jazzkaar produces also educational programs and musical events for different audiences, presents Estonian Jazz Awards etc. Jazzkaar is a member of Estonian Music Festivals and European Festivals Association.

Marju Kask has been part of the Jazzkaar team from 2002, involved in both programming and production. She has a master’s degree in Cultural Management from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and her paper focused on the artistic directors of different Europan Jazz Festivals.
