Sinja Strangmann studied social sciences in Germany and the United Kingdom. During her studies she worked as a freelance journalist at a German radio station, broadcasting a programme on music and culture. After completing her studies she co-organised international scientific seminars for an American non-profit and co-conducted a German-Israeli exchange programme for the Bertelsmann Foundation. Subsequently she worked for the German-Israeli textbook commission of the Georg-Eckert-Institute for International Schoolbook Research.
From May 2013 she worked as curatorial assistant in the Jewish Museum in Munich where she co-conducted various Exhibitions and presented Israeli movies at DOK.fest International Documentary Film Festival Munich.
Since September 2014 she is a consultant of culture to the Consulate General of Israel in Munich, facilitating and co-organising cultural events in Southern Germany that involve Israeli artists from all fields of culture, such as music, dance, art, theatre and movies
